- Add a joystick (or inverted joystick), then select it in the Hierarchy and press Use Selected under Add Parent.
- Choose another item from the catalog and press Child. Select that child in the Hierarchy.
- In Attach to (parent sub-part), choose 0: Base to keep it on the housing, or 1: Stick to make it follow the moving stick in game. The
@1 badge in the Hierarchy marks a stick attachment.
- Optionally press Snap to stick tip, then use Move and Rotate to place the child. Switching between Base and Stick keeps its visible position while changing the saved attachment edge.
- For a chain, select a joystick, choose the next link type, and press Add aligned link on stick. The new upright joystick becomes selected; press again to extend the chain. Each link attaches to its predecessor's moving stick.
The editor shows the joystick at rest; it does not animate the stick. This selector chooses a part of the child's current parent, not a different parent item. It is disabled when the selected item is the root or its parent has only one editable edge.
Joystick and inverted joystick stick edges are fully editable. An imported edge on an unmeasured moving part, such as a robot arm, is preserved as captured and locked to avoid changing its pose incorrectly.
